Commentary.......Message from the Publishers: Area Schools Recognized in The Harrier Newsletter

The Harrier, a national newsletter covering cross country, recently published its 2000 Final Super Team Rankings.  Leading the rankings was Mountain View HS of Orem, Utah. Not surprisingly, The Woodlands HS of Houston, Texas was fourth. Razorback XC fans recognize The Woodlands as the school where former Hog middle distance runner and current distance assistant coach, Danny Green, competed and where his father coaches. Kearney HS of Kearney, Nebraska which competed at last fall's Rim Rock Meet in Kansas in which the Rogers Mounties competed was an impressive 17th.

Honorable mention (Top 50) recognition went to Arkansas 5A boys champions Mt. Home Bombers.  Also, the West Plains Zizzers of West Plains, Missouri who often run against Arkansas teams earned honorable mention as well.
