We thought you might like a cross-country poem to end the year. Written by members of the Mt. Home Lady Bombers and Bombers, you can try  singing to the tune of The Twelve Days of Christmas. Maybe try this while you are out on a long run on a cold, windy winter day as you get ready for nice, warm track season.

On the first week of off-season our coaches gave to us one schedule to

fill out completely.

 

On the second week of off-season our coaches gave to us two extra miles

and one schedule to fill out completely.

 

On the third week of off-season our coaches gave to us 3 keys to a

success, two extra miles and one schedule to fill out completely.

 

On the fourth week of off-season our coaches gave to us 4 mile repeats,

3 keys to a success, two extra miles and one schedule to fill out

completely.

 

On the fifth week of off-season our coaches gave to us a 5 mile max, 4

mile repeats, 3 keys to a success, two extra miles and one schedule to

fill out completely.

 

On the sixth week of off-season our coaches gave to us 6 AM pull-ups

(for the boys), a 5 mile max, 4 mile repeats, 3 keys to a success, two

extra miles and one schedule to fill out completely.

 

On the seventh week of off-season our coaches gave to us 7 minute abs, 6

AM pull-ups (for the boys), a 5 mile max, 4 mile repeats, 3 keys to a

success, two extra miles and one schedule to fill out completely.

 

On the eighth week of off-season our coaches gave to us 8 40 meters, 7

minute abs, 6 AM pull-ups (for the boys), a 5 mile max, 4 mile repeats,

3 keys to a success, two extra miles and one schedule to fill out

completely.

 

On the ninth week of off-season our coaches gave to us 9 million

stretches, 8 40 meters, 7 minute abs, 6 AM pull-ups (for the boys), a 5

mile max, 4 mile repeats, 3 keys to a success, two extra miles and one

schedule to fill out completely.

 

On the tenth week of off-season our coaches gave to us 10 75% striders,

9 million stretches, 8 40 meters, 7 minute abs, 6 AM pull-ups (for the

boys), a 5 mile max, 4 mile repeats, 3 keys to a success, two extra

miles and one schedule to fill out completely.

 

On the eleventh week of off-season our coaches gave to us an 11 mile

long run, 10 75% striders, 9 million stretches, 8 40 meters, 7 minute

abs, 6 AM pull-ups (for the boys), a 5 mile max, 4 mile repeats, 3 keys

to a success, two extra miles and one schedule to fill out completely.

 

On the twelfth week of off-season our coaches gave to us the Dirty

Dozen, an 11 mile long run, 10 75% striders, 9 million stretches, 8 40

meters, 7 minute abs, 6 AM pull-ups (for the boys), a 5 mile max, 4 mile

repeats, 3 keys to a success, two extra miles and one schedule to fill

out completely.
