Meet of Champs Recap and State Meet Recaps for 2A-5A now posted.....we now have the 1A State Meet results and will be working to get ready to post...working to get the Meet of Champs results posted.....29 Meet of Champs performances met the Arkansas All-Time Best List standards and 13 met the DyeStat Elite standards....the All-Time Best List will be updated once we finish with the State Meets and Meet of Champs...be sure to visit DyeStat to check out results from across the nation ....congratulations to all Meet of Champs participants.....ALSO, keep up the good work this summer and check into the State AAU Championships to be held at Little Rock Fair in June...go to Arkansas AAU Track website for registration information.....

State Meet results for 2A/3A and 4A/5A now posted...1A will be posted when received...we will be updating the 2002 Best Performances and All-Time Best Listings in the near future .... congratulations to all State Meet participants ....hats off to all who placed and to those who set PRs and State Meet records ....lots of exciting competition in both track and field events .... good luck to those advancing to next Wednesday's Meet of Champions at Lake Hamilton High School ... remember the Decathlon/Heptathlon to be held at Cabot High School ....special thanks to the press box crew from Heber Springs High School and their new "HeberLynx" timing and field events scoring system for nearly instantaneous updating of events during the 2A/3A/4A/5A meets and having complete meet results ready within minutes of the end of the last 4x400 relay .....

4/28/2002 ...2002 Best Performances for field events and relays now posted for results received thru 4/28 ... remaining events in  progress .... well over 900 performances now posted ..... New All-Time Best Performances set in Boys 4x800m relay as Russellville cruises in 7:52.80 at the McDonald's Relays in Ft. Smith on 4/19 and crushes old mark of 7:57 set by Pine Bluff in 1997 ... Jodie Mayes of Fayetteville Woodlands Junior High vaults the 3rd highest ever by an Arkansas girl by soaring 11' 7.5" at the Northwest Conference Junior High Meet on 4/18 at Rogers .... thanks to former Crossett Coach Bobby Richardson we now have All-Time Best Listings for the 100/110m hurdles and the 4x400m relay and we have updated thru 2002 indoor....go to All-Time Best and click on the event .... SPECIAL REQUEST: If anyone has meet results for conference and district meets ( we have 5A West, 5A Central, 3A District 2 and 3A District 7) we would appreciate you faxing them to us at 479-750-6152. ALERT.....maybe we were the only ones not to know, but the 4x800m relays for 2A-5A will run prelims at the State Qualifying Meets next week and then run FINALS at the State Meet the following week according to the AAA schedule ......last year the finals were held at the Qualifying Meets ......

4/21/2002 ...2002 Best Performances for ALL EVENTS now posted ... 464 performances for Boys and 394 for Girls ....over 850 in total.... we still have some late results to be posted as well and will be working on those this week...good luck at Conference meets this week and give us lots of new Bests to post!!!

Check out the 2002 Track Best Performances for all running events except the relays by clicking here ...408 performances included so far....note that we add .24 to all reported times UNLESS we get verification that the times were Fully Automatic Times (FAT) ... relays and field events being processed ....results are for those received thru 4/14 ...SPECIAL NEWS ITEM: Russellville senior Eric Brock and Cyclone junior Chase Feltner put together the fastest 1600m of the year last Friday at Lake Hamilton with Brock taking a 4:16.35 to 4:17.71 victory...Brock's splits were 66-63-65-62.35.....

3/10/2002 ...Arkansas athletes shined today at the prestigious Nike Indoor Classic held at the Prince Georges County Sportsplex in Landover, Maryland.....Freshmen Katya Kostetskaya of Jonesboro claimed 3rd in a field of 34 in the Girls 800m run with a 2:13.24 clocking behind winner senior Mindy Sullivan of Lubbock, Texas who won in a meet record of  2:10.42.....Kostetskaya's performance is a new record for the Arkansas All-Time Best Performances besting the previous best of 2:13.50 set by Holly Baskin of Shiloh Christian in 1996....click here to see the updated 800m page .....Russellville Boys captured 4th out of 27 teams in the 4x800m relay with a 7:59.79 behind winner North Penn High School (Pennsylvania) who set a meet record at 7:54.96....for complete meet results go to http://www.dyestat.com/us/2in/NIC/results.htm ...State Meet recaps and updated 2002 Indoor Best Performances in progress ...

Same old same old at Chile Pepper as Russellville Cyclones escape with a 50-56 win over Edmond (OK) Memorial in the Boys Invitational 5K while the Bentonville Lady Tigers put it all together for an easy win in the Girls Invitational 4k...for complete results of the Invitational Races click here and for the Open and Junior High races click here....more Chile Pepper highlights in the works...stay tuned....990 finishers in the senior and junior high races!!!

9/30/2001 ...Russellville Cyclones continue winning ways with strong showing at Cyclone Invitational yesterday....Cyclone Travis Feltner sets course record in 17:17 edging out brother Chase by a second...Burt Hicks of Lake Hamilton grabbed 3rd in 17:25 while Eric Brock of Russellville took 4th in 17:32....Cyclones win team trophy 24-80 over Lake Hamilton and 16 other teams...Rogers Lady Mounties upset No. 1 Fayetteville 35-37 while running without one of their regulars....Beth Madson of Lake Hamilton took individual honors in a sizzling 14:46.52!!!...Lady Mounties Andrea Peerson and Cheryl White took 2nd and 3rd in 15:19.29 and 15:36.42....Katie Howard led Fayetteville at 5th in 15:44.30....Top 8 were under 16:00 on the fast course...Rogers Mounties took 6th in the prestigious Oklahoma State Cowboy Jamboree in Stillwater on 9/29 led by Senior Tony Chambers 16:55 over the tough, hilly Cowboy 5K course...we hope to have complete results for the Cyclone Invitational later this week....we now have over 800 performances in the data base and am working hard to get the first Best Performances List posted soon....enjoy this terrific running weather and stay healthy....

9/9/2001 ... Beth Madson of Lake Hamilton took first in the Senior Girls 2.5 Mile race with a 15:27 (6:10 per mile) clocking at the OBU Bob Gravette Invitational in Arkadelphia on 9/8 in a race that saw the Top 9 all finish under 16:20.  Burt Hicks of the Lake Hamilton Senior Boys won his division's 5K race  in 16:41 (5:20 per mile). Kazmyn Bailey of Vilonia won the Junior Girls 1.5 Mile race in 9:53 (6:36 per mile) while Jacob Geurin of Benton won the Junior Boys 2 Mile in 11:39 (5:49.5 per mile).  In the team results, Lake Hamilton easily defeated Bryant 56-104 in a 19 team Senior Boys field; Houston of Memphis whipped Bryant 18-79 in the 12 team Senior Girls meet; Hot Springs Lakeside downed Bryant 55-65 in the Junior Boys; and Bryant won easily over Magnet Cove 25-75 in the Junior Girls meet.  Several college freshman from Arkansas high schools ran in the college division Women's 5K, including Heidi Vondermehden of UCA (18th in 20:54, Harrison), Caryn Hapner of UCA (26th in 31:31, Conway), Kristina Ong of UCA (34th in 22:16, Watson Chapel), Candace Bowling of Arkansas Tech (35th in 22:22, Siloam Springs), Ana Roberts of SAU (37th in 22:31, Acorn) and Amanda Walden of Arkansas Tech (43rd in 22:48, Bentonville). The Rogers Lady Mounties took a hard-earned win 37-62 over Lebanon, MO on September 6 to defend their title at the Carthage, MO Invitational Varsity Girls 5K.  In hot, windy, humid weather on a very hilly course, the Lady Mounties overcame the loss of lead runner Andrea Peerson to illness as Junior Cheryl White (22:18) and Senior Captain Caitlin Kelly (23:16) led the Mounties to a win.  Tiffany Dodson of Harrison took 2nd overall with a time of 21:33.  The Rogers Mounties came up just short in an attempt to win for the 9th time in 10 years at Carthage as the host team edged the Mounties 51-65.  Senior Jake Conley led the Mounties in 3rd (17:15) and Senior Tony Chambers claimed 5th (17:43).  Caleb Gordon of Rogers led seven Mounties into the Top 10 of the 2 Mile JV race with a 11:05 clocking while Harrison's Jessalyn Halstead took 3rd in 13:39 for the top Arkansas girl in the 2 Mile JV Girls race. The Russellville Cyclones defeated Jenks, OK on 9/8 at the Zero Mountain Invitational in Ft. Smith with an impressive 2-3-4-5-13 finish. The Cyclones Chase Feltner claimed 2nd (16:04) while teammates Travis Feltner took 3rd (16:22), Eric Brock grabbed 4th (16:43) and Bryan Gardner took 5th (16:44).

8/19/2001 ...Cross-Country 2001 Schedule now posted...look for Preview to come this week....Cross-Country Gallery for 2000 season is now back!!...Stephanie Irwin, Mt. Ida, cleared 11'03" (new region record) in the AAU Region 8 Championships in Columbia, MO on July 8 moving into 5th place on the Arkansas All-Time Best List...Jackie Franks of Batesville Southside posted a PR in the 2001 AAU Junior Olympics at Norfolk, VA on 8/3 with a vault of 10" 0" to take 5th in the Girls Intermediate Division which moves her into a tie for the 14th best vault in the Arkansas All-Time Best List....Stephanie Irwin of Mt. Ida took 3rd in the same Division at 10' 6"...Brandie Plyler (Centerpoint/Ole Miss) took 3rd in the Young Women's Division with a vault of 11' 5.75"...congratulations to all our vaulters who competed this summer .....be sure to mark your calendars for the Goodwill Games coming up 9/4-7 with TV coverage on TNT.
